Marketing brings a consequence that producers distribute their products to consumers. There are many kinds of a medium that producers can use to distribute their products, one of which is retailer business. In governance, retailer business can be classified into two types, namely traditional retailer and modern retailer. In the process, there are worries about the existence of traditional retailer as a result of the strengthening of modern retailer. Therefore, it is important to pay special attention to the traditional retailer to grow and evolve along with the growth and development of modern retailer, so that traditional retailer marketing can run optimally. This study aims to formulate the strategy for traditional retailer to keep sustainability concerning to the proper implementation of knowledge management through the developing of socio- entrepreneurship. This research uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) to measure the correlation between independent and dependent construct in term of increasing knowledge management of traditional retailer.Based on the result analysis, competitive advantage in traditional retail is affected by the choice of strategies implemented by retailer. However, the implemented strategy is not optimal because it is not supported by the implementation of a good knowledge  managements, especially in terms of accessibility to knowledge and practices required in the retail business. Traditional retail are difficult to gain an access to training and mentoring on strategies and techniques to manage retail business professionally in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. When traditional retail want a more optimal to achieve a competitive advantage, they should improve their ability in implementing the management knowledge systematically, for example, building an association of traditional retail with the main vision to organize a training program or mentoring about strategy and technique management of retail business. Keywords: Traditional retailer, management knowledge, competitive advantage

In Indonesia, the scope of agroindustry are related to the food and non-food industry managed by Small-Medium Enterprises (SME). The classical problem of Indonesian Agroindustry were related to logistic, infrastructure, technology, high-cost economy, regulation, and financing constraint. Therefore, an innovative business model is required for competitive and sustainable SME. Importance rate of the model can be defined by determining some criteria in a business model. Analytical Network Process (ANP) is required to determine importance rate of business model. However, ANP could not minimize the subjectivity factor of the respondent in determining the criteria. Application of Conditional Probability Co-occurrences Matrix (CPCM) is required to minimize the subjectivity factor by comparing priority weight of each criterias. The research objectives are: 1) To apply ANP method for representing business model criteria and attribute of SME; 2) To apply CPCM method for criteria pattern extraction. The case study of research is SME Bakpia Tela Ungu and Telopia. CPCM Pattern extraction of Contrast, Energy and Local Homogeneity indicated the significant different of business model criteria between food, non-food agroindustry and local governmental board. The research results indicated that there were different subjectivity to determine criteria priority weight

    Get PDF
Due to their importance in industry, dynamic demand lot-sizing problems are frequently studied. This study consider dynamic lot-sizing problems with recent advances in problem and modelformulation, and algorithms that enable large-scale problems to be effectively solved.Comprehensive review is given on model formulation of dynamic lot-sizing problems, especiallyon capacitated lot-sizing (CLS) problem and the coordinated lot-sizing problem. Bothapproaches have their intercorrelated, where CLS can be employed for single or multilevel/stage, item, and some restrictions. When a need for joint setup replenishment exists, thenthe coordinated lot-sizing is the choice. Furthermore, both algorithmics and heuristics solutionin the research of dynamic lot sizing are considered, followed by an illustration to provide anefficient algorithm

This study examines the model development of the drying process of corn grains as a dynamic system. The appropriate use of a dynamic model for the drying process of corn grains could lead to an effective method for optimizing the system. The optimal control strategy can be determined by predicting the future behaviors of the process using a dynamic model. In this work, the dynamic characteristic of the water loss of corn grains during dynamics treatment of temperature in the drying process was measured in a continuous manner using a precise load cell. The nonlinear autoregressive with external input (NARX) neural network is used to identify and develop a model of dynamic characteristics of the drying process of corn grains. Then for model training and validation, the dynamic responses of the rate of water loss of corn grains to drying temperature were used. A three-layered NARX neural network model consists of 1-10-1 number neurons of each layer with two times delay was successfully developed to identify and make a model such a complex system. The developed model showed the accuracy of the rate water loss of corn grains during the drying process with the mean square error (MSE), and coefficient of determination (R-squared) values are 1.88892 x 10-4 and 0.891594 consecutively

This study was aimed to find kind of improvements of sugar distribution system using value stream mapping (VSM) when some inefficiencies in physical and service activities were encountered that will cause wasting time. The VSM was directed to reduce non value added time as the performace parameter. VSM was used to analyze thus inefficiencies because using VSM can simply mapping to trace whole activities both of material and service flow from beginning to the end of process. A case study of Industri Gula Nusantara showed that in its service operations, there were an inefficiency in the process of issueing the loading order. Move thus activity a day earlier, the improvement sounds a shorter service time over order and delivery schedule which in further make a better operation and service over the whole process of sugar distribution. At same time a policy of safety stock or inventory leveling could minimize stock out occasion by the increasing of service level from 25% to 38% that was close to standard deviation of demand during lead time
